First on the agenda was brakes,
Old ones,

The discs had seen better days,

Should have been a simple half hour job but I broke the bleeders in both calipers so I got another set and managed to do it again, couldn't find another set of Bendix items anywhere so I swapped out for larger, vented, Lucas items from a D-Turbo. Hey, when you have all the power of the 1400, you need something beefy to help you stop, bolted straight on with no modification too!

The nuts were siezed solid on the brake pipes and had no notion of coming off so I ended up cutting them and fitting some nice copper ones on both sides,

So that's why my steering wheel was vibrating!

Which in turn, buggered the track rod end. I forgot to take a picture of the new one but I'm sure you all know what one looks like,

Some fancy bendy wiper blades to wipe the rain off my windscreen,

Finally, 4 new tyres on and I'm ready for MOT.
Then as usual, I got carried away.
The old seats weren't in great shape and smelled like gear oil so I fired a complete XSi interior in there,

Manual electric windows, there's something you don't see every day!

Old indicators were a bit manky looking,

So I swapped for a fresher set,

Also swapped the nasty orange side repeaters for a clear set out of a Saxo,

Old steering wheel,

New leather one from 406 GTX. This one sits about 2 inches closer to me so I've disconnected the airbag wiring and taken the bulb out of the dash. Don't like airbags anyway, dirty, dangerous things,

Old boring gearknob,

Nice new gearknob with shiny writing. Wasn't a perfect fit but a bit of gripfill sorted that out,
